I have been receiving lots of positive feedback and
comments on my writings and in between the comments are some questions asking
about what is the source of inspiration for these writings. The question gave
me another reason to write on why I write. But while I started writing, the
lines started going far from my reply on why I write, but still, they were
communicating the thoughts of several others who write to express the unspoken
words, words which will always remain unspoken otherwise.
हमें अब नींद की तलब नहीं रही,
अब रातों को जागना अच्छा लगता है.
एक यादें ही तो है तेरी साथ मेरे,
उन यादों को संजोना अच्छा
लगता है.
जाने क्या जादू किया तेरी मुस्कुराहट ने,
फूलों सा तेरा मुस्कुराना अच्छा
लगता है.
वो मेरा तुझे सताना और तेरा रूठ जाना,
फिर मेरा तुझे मनाना अच्छा
लगता है.
दिल करे करू बातें तेरी आँखों से,
तू हो सामने तो नज़रें झुकाना अच्छा
लगता है.
शेरो-शायरी में कर लेता हूँ बातें तेरी,
शायद तभी ये शायरी करना अच्छा
लगता है.
मुझे मालूम नहीं तू मेरी किस्मत में है
या नहीं,
मगर तुझे खुदा से माँगना अच्छा
लगता है.
